It is revealed that actor Lou Jacobi has died at the age of 95. Lou played the scheming barman in a supporting role to a young Jack Lemmon in the 1963 hit comedy, Irma La Douce. Although they weren't very close, Lou often dined with Jack and his wife Felicia after Irma in the late 1960s and had many stories of his memories of working with the legendary Mr Lemmon.

Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award winners Jack Lemmon, Sidney Poitier, Stan Laurel, Ruby Dee and Kirk Douglas will be celebrated by Turner Classic Movies with a four-film presentation beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, the night before TCM’s sister networks TNT and TBS present a live simulcast of the 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The film they're showing starring Jack Lemmon is the classic 1970 comedy The Out of Towners, co-starring Sandy Dennis.

Stephen Soderbergh has compared Matt Damon to screen legend Jack Lemmon. The movie director - who has worked with the Hollywood actor on 'The Informant!' and the 'Oceans' 11' film franchise - has praised Matt for his acting ability and admits he is delighted to see him portray such a variety of characters. He said: " 'The Informant!' seemed like a Billy Wilder Movie in a way, with Matt as Jack Lemmon."

The good-looking guy should feel no shame as plenty of gorgeous A-list men have donned makeup and put on high heels for movie parts, like Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot. British tabloid newspaper, the Daily Star, rated previous famous men who have dressed in drag and they rated Jack and Tony as 10/10, adding "Fantastically funny female foils alongside a very sexy Marilyn Monroe."

'Some Like It Hot: The 50th Anniversary Companion' is finally released and available worldwide. A wonderfully large book with plenty of stunning images from the film, it is the story of the filming (as well as various background knowledge) and is written by author Laurence Maslen, with a foreward by Walter Mirisch, one of the owners of The Mirisch Company which helped to produce the legendary movie. An ultimate collector's item!

Tony Curtis' latest memoir, 'Some Like It Hot: The Making of the Movie and My Memories of Marilyn Monroe', is released worldwide. Although critics suspected that Curtis would go into detail about his alleged relationship with Marilyn, he also speaks of his close friendship with Jack Lemmon and working with the comedy legend, whom he also starred with in The Great Race, six years after Some Like It Hot. The book is overall a wonderful book about the wonderful movie and one for the collectors!

Actor and author Chris Lemmon, Jack's son, announces plans to release a new 6-disc DVD box set of some of his father's rarest (and some of his earliest) films including Phffft! (1954), Operation Mad Ball (1957), Under the Yum Yum Tree (1963), Good Neighbor Sam (1964) and The Notorious Landlady (1962). The new box set will have special extras including a brand new documentary entitled "Jack Lemmon: The Man Behind the Magic", a vintage photo gallery (with never-before-seen personal home photos) and much more! The box set will be called The Jack Lemmon Film Collection.
